William Edward Link Sr. (Bill) Saginaw, Michigan Died peacefully at home on July 1, 2018, in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 85. Bill is survived by his wife, Georgian; children, William Edward Jr. (Nancy) of Saginaw, Perry (Kelly) of Saginaw, MaryAnn (Tom) Knowles of Grand Rapids, and Tracy Tolomio of Phoenix, AZ. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Bill was born on April 10, 1933 in Saginaw, MI to Edith and Walter Link. He graduated from Saginaw High (SHS) in 1951 and joined the Navy, serving as a Sea-Bees in California, Rhode Island and Antigua. After moving back to Saginaw, Bill began working for the family business, Link Electric, and became a lifelong member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). Bill eventually took over the business when his father retired, which he successfully ran from 1967 through 1990. Bill was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather with a great sense of humor and generous spirit. An avid Tigers fan, Bill spent many years enjoying golf, bowling, and social activities at Germania Town and Country Club. Bill and Georgian loved to travel, and spent many summer days at the family cottage on Higgins Lake. He was an active member of his church and loved the out of doors. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Edward A. Meyer will officiate with burial in Spaulding Township Cemetery with Military Honors under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may visit with Bills family from Noon Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
