William F. Walny

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at the age of 80 years. The son of the late Bernard and Rhoda (Roll) Walny was born on July 24, 1937 in Detroit. He married Deborah I. Sprenger on July 26, 1958; she survives him. William retired from GTE Valenite after 33 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren, especially cheering them on during their sporting events. Surviving besides his wife of 59 years, Deborah, are their children: Kenneth Walny, Nick Walny, Jim (Dawn) Walny, grandchildren: Jason, Holly, Clint, Jacob, Adam, Rachel, Kyle, Justin, great-grandchildren: Aubree, Connor, his brother Thomas Walny, many nieces, nephews, relatives and his faithful dog, Buddy. William was predeceased by his son, William Walny and two brothers: Robert and Bernard Walny. In accordance with Williams wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
