William G. Ioannidis Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Age 82 years. He was born in Athens, Greece on August 28, 1931 of Constantinopolitan parents, George and Louloudia. He was educated in Accounting and later served in the Royal Greek Air Force. He married Matina, September 16, 1962 with whom he immigrated to the United States in 1963. She survives him. William was a longtime employee of General Motors, retiring in 1988. He continued his education in accounting and income tax preparation. He worked as an accountant for a number of local restaurants until 1997. He served the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church as Parish Council member and President and Greek School Superintendent. He was a member of and president of the AHEPA Chapter. He served as Worshipful Master in 1979 of the Pioneer Lodge #79 F. & A.M. He was recognized as Master Mason of the Year in 1993 and 2011. Bill was an avid stamp collector and a member of a number of clubs. Surviving besides his wife, Matina, are his sons, George and John, their wives, Martha and Melissa and their children, Vasili, Jenna and Vasili. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013, at St. Demetrious Greek Orthodox Church. 4970 Mackinaw Rd. Saginaw. Fr. Irenaeus Cox will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co.
