William “Bill” Edward Schwarz of Burt, Michigan

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor after a brief illness. He was 70 years old. Bill was born on August 13, 1950, in Saginaw, Michigan, son of the late Joseph Killian and Mary Evelyn (Coyle) Schwarz, he was the fourth of five children. He married the love of his life, Sharon (Holt) Zieroff on October 20, 1979; she survives him. Bill was a mechanic for 55 years before retiring in 2015. He loved going to the races, hunting, fishing, eating ice cream, and spending time with family.

Surviving to cherish his memories are his wife, Sharon Schwarz of Burt; two daughters: Sandra (Christopher) Bird of Clio; Kelly (Matthew) McCollum of Bridgeport; four siblings: Charles (Shirlee) Schwarz of Nagunee; John Schwarz of Bay City; Rose Twiford of Hanford, CA; Mary (Paul) Singer of Saginaw; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Chantel M. Bird; brother-in-law, Michael J. Twiford; nephew, Joshua M. Schwarz; sister-in-law, Jeanette M. Robishaw.

Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to the family c/o Sharon K. Schwarz.
