William "Butch" Reimers

A loving, stubborn and cantankerous husband, father and grandfather passed away on his own terms on October 20, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. Age 77 years.
Butch was born in Saginaw on July 6, 1944, to the late Laverne and Virginia (Dillon) Reimers. He was a 1962 graduate of Saginaw High School. On July 17, 1965, Butch married Penny DeShone; she survives him. He worked as a Skilled Trades Supervisor for Saginaw Steering Gear, retiring in 1997. Butch was a member of the Saginaw Strokers Club. He will be remembered as being an honest man who enjoyed his La-Z-Boy and driving his daughters up the wall.

Along with his wife, Penny Reimers, Butch is survived by two daughters, Sherry LaDouce, her husband John, and Melissa Reimers and her husband Greg Schmidt; one granddaughter, Morgan LaDouce and her fiance Colin Dole; and special friends Al Benaway and Ed Kartz, his Stroker buddies and golf partners.

He is predeceased by siblings, Nancy Ball, Beverly Wolinski, and James Reimers.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2021, at W. L. Case & Company, 201 North Miller Road, Saginaw. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate with burial to follow in St. Andrews Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
