Darnell was born to the proud parents Eddie & Phyllis Holliman on December 4, 1962 in Saginaw, Michigan. On Friday, September 11, 2020 God called his esteemed son William Darnell Holliman to enter the gateway to heaven at the age of 57.
Throughout his life Darnell was affectionately known by many names, but Brother Holliman is what he loved the most. Darnell's proudest honor was to say that he found his Lord and Savior who he praised and worshiped daily. He dedicated his life to serving Christ for the past 15 years and became a mighty man of valor. To say the least, this was an enormous blessing. He lived a life of service as a faithful member of Word of Faith International Ministries serving beside Minister Walker as an Amour-bearer. In 2015, a diagnosis shifted Darnell's attention, but his purpose to give God glory never wavered.
His approachable demeanor, calming spirit, infectious smile and impeccable sense of humor brightened the lives of everyone he met. His children would say he had the look of an angel. His proudest accomplishment was loving his mother Phyllis, his Sisters, his children and beautiful grandchildren whom brought him tremendous joy. To all he will truly be missed. Darnell leaves a legacy of three daughters, Kesha and Latesha Holliman, and Teonna Box; Two sons Avonte Holliman and Jaylin Box. His sister Atonya (Maurice) Patterson and eleven grandchildren Keymon, Kylin, and Kelis Holliman, Curtis Barnes Jr.; Sean and Amiyah Carter, Paige, Payton and Storm Rosa; Nakya and Promise Holliman.
Darnell joins his heavenly family Glady's Wicker-Damon (Grandmother), Eddie Holliman (Father), Frances Braddock (Aunt), Jerry Wicker (Uncle), and Phyllis Marie Hayes (Sister). May the love and light that God blessed him with continue to shine is those he left behind.
A memorial service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Word of Faith International Ministries, 500 N. Washington Ave. Honoring Darnell's wishes, cremation has taken place.
