William T. Ryan

William T. Ryan Saginaw Township Formerly of Spaulding Loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Meadowview Manor. Age 91 years. The son of the late Labon and Bessie Rose (Sally) Ryan was born January 29, 1923 in Golden City, Missouri. He served with the U. S. Army during WWII. He married Neva Ecker, February 5, 1949. She passed away April 6, 2010. He had been employed by Draper Chevrolet, retiring in 1988 with 42 years of service. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 9809; had been active with the Boy Scouts and served on the Spaulding Township Parks Commission. Surviving are a son, a daughter and their spouses, William Ryan Jr. and his wife, Connie; Karen and Augie Tausend; five grandchildren and their spouses, Brandon and Michelle Ryan; Kirk and Clara Ryan; Shawn and Emily Ryan; Sheryl and Jeff Carpenter; David and Christi Boensch; fourteen great grandchildren; a brother, Michael Welense; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Lorane Brandel, William Welense and Lib Slater. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ronald L. Sinclair will officiate with Military burial in Spaulding Twp. Cemetery under the auspices of V.F.W. Post 1859. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday.
