Kutsch, William W. Saginaw, MI Went home to his Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Cartwright Care Center at the age of 90. Bill was born September 20, 1922, in Saginaw to the late William F. and Cora (Scherzer) Kutsch. He served in the U.S. Army. Bill married Melba Edwards on February 3, 1945. Bill and Melba were married 60 years, and although she was in a nursing home during the last three years, he visited her daily. She predeceased him March 8, 2005. Farming was his life-long occupation but he also worked for General Motors, retiring with over 25 years of service. He was devoted to his family and truly enjoyed life on the farm. Neighbors, friends, and family received lots of goodies from his garden, especially strawberries, sweet corn, and tomatoes. Bill is survived by his daughters, Jenny (Steve) Rumbaugh of Lexington, Virginia and Dr. Patricia Bergh of Grand Blanc; his grandchildren, Melissa (Dwayne) Hostetler and Michael (Lisa Schwind) Latkovic; great-grandchildren, Angelina Latkovic, Jacob Hostetler, and Emma Latkovic; and great-great-granddaughter, Violet Latkovic; his sisters, Florence Uphoff and Marie Glick; and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by an infant daughter Karen; and sisters, Erma Jones and Esther Jeruski. The family would like to thank: the staff at Edgewood Assisted Living (past and present), the caring staff at Cartwright Care Center, and Covenant VNA Hospice for the care they provided to Bill. The family would also like to thank his friends, extended family, and the members of Ascension Lutheran Church for their visits, cards, and prayers that brightened his days. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Ascension Lutheran Church 8695 Gratiot Rd. Pastor Gary Hansen will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Road and at church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
