Wolfgang “Wolf” Luther of Saginaw
Passed away on Thursday, July 7th, 2022, at the age of 72. He was born on March 9th, 1950, in Neugnadenfeld, Germany, to the late Otto Luther & Frieda (Rahn) Graham. Wolf attended Buena Vista High School prior to graduating from the Kendall School of Design . He went on to complete the “Cartoonerama” cartoon course with honors. Wolf’s passion for art would follow him through his whole life. He worked for the Fruehauf Trailer Corporation for 5 years and spent countless years at Shields Elementary School, where he retired as head custodian. In his free time, Wolf’s DIY skillset kept him busy working on projects around the house and outside. He was creative at heart and a very talented cartoonist, creating such cartoons as “Hardhat” and “Zip and Loopla.” Most importantly, Wolf was a proud father and papa, cherishing the time he spent with his family. His family remembers him as being a kind, caring, and selfless man that was always willing to help others without question, and, as he had hoped for, “a good dad.”
Wolf is survived by his children Jason Luther, Stacy (Timothy) Jordan, & Justin Luther; grandchildren Lena Jordan & Landon Jordan; sister Marlies (Ed) Tracy; and niece Morgan Tracy; as well as many other family members, and friends.
Wolf was preceded in death by his parents Otto Luther & Frieda Graham.
A committal service for Wolf will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 13th, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, 950 N Center Rd, Saginaw. Those wanting to make a show of their sympathy may wish to contribute to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Please share your thoughts, prayers, and memories with the family at the cemetery or through www.casefuneralhome.com.
