Yvonne J. Monk

Monk, Yvonne J. Merrill, Michigan Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at her home at the age of 60 years. The daughter of Marion (Verleger) and the late Lionel Block was born on January 11, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant. Yvonne grew up in Beal City before moving to Merrill. She married Robert Monk; he survives her. She was a member of St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Merrill. Yvonne enjoyed car cruising in classic cars, going to the beach and most especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving besides her mother, Marion and her husband Robert are her children: Korein (Scott) Matthews, Pamela (Paul) Munro, Jason Schlegel, Anthony (Beth) Monk, Brian (Jody) Monk, grandchildren: Kaile, Gabrielle, Meagan, and Robert Matthews, Mariah, and Katrina Munro, Alexis, Cameron and Aubrey Monk, siblings: Christy, Cindy, Peggy, Sherry, Sandy, Tammy, Phil, Steve, Tim and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2014 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, Merrill. Fr. Duane Wachowiak will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
