Zenija Kupsis DeWitt, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved and adored mom and Omi passed away Friday, November 1, 2013, at the Hazel Finley Country Manor, St. Johns, MI. Age 104 years. The daughter of the late Davids and Marianna (Eidins) Berkis was born March 22, 1909, in Gramzda Parish, Latvia, coming to the U.S.A in 1950. She married Fricis Kupsis in 1939. He passed away December 26, 1966. She was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church of Saginaw, enjoyed knitting, playing cards and had a beautiful garden. She was an avid Michigan State University Basketball fan but most of all loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Surviving are three children and their spouses, Paul and Marianne Kupsis, Olympia, WA; Karl and Beth Kupsis; Maija Kupsis, all of DeWitt, MI; six grandchildren, Christiene Kupsis; Michael Kupsis, both of Olympia, WA; Landon Howe, Lexington, KY; Evan (Nichole) Howe, DeWitt, MI; Katherine (Brooks) Kincaid, San Francisco, CA; Erik Kupsis, DeWitt, MI; three great grandchildren, Olivia and Alexis Howe; Vivian Kincaid. A son-in-law, Thomas Howe and three brothers and a sister have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Robert Franklin will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.
