Beeman, Mrs. Zona A. (Ebe) Saginaw, MI Went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, April 1, 2007. Zona passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Age 85 years. Zona Alvina Hensler was born June 27, 1921, in Freeland, the daughter of the late Emma Barbara (Rau) and John George Hensler. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1937 and later from the Saginaw Business Institute. She had been employed as a secretary, working for Dow Chemical Company, the VA Medical Center, and Ray F. Bartels Sales Company. She was a faithful member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She was an avid bridge player and also enjoyed crossword puzzles and travel. She married Otto G. Ebe January 15, 1944; he predeceased her June 20, 1948. She married Gerald W. Beeman January 19, 1955; he predeceased her August 11, 1999. She leaves to cherish her memory five children and their spouses, Barbara S. Ebe (Gary) Iteen, Aurora, IL, Jeanne M. (Darold) Schultz, Saginaw, Gerald W. (Shellie) Beeman, Jr., Traverse City, Mark J. (Catherine) Beeman, Grand Rapids, and Loreen R. (Dale) Caverly, Saginaw; ten grandchildren, Gregory, Kirsten, Trevor, Emily, Amy, Jennifer, Erin, Kyle, Jacob and Jillian; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna Turner, Hemlock; many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by six sisters and three brothers, Agnes M. Klein, Clarence H. Hensler, Clemens G. Hensler, Amelia A. "Millie" Sparschu, Marie C. Ludlum, Edna E. Buetow, Thelma L. Lohrmann, Rhea A. Grass and John H. "Jack" Hensler. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Road. Rev. Scott Sessler will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and then at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
